ConTech Lighting's Inspiration Center is an immersive showcase used to demonstrate the impact of high-quality lighting. Our mission is to leave all our visitors better informed about the latest lighting technology, applications, and codes. Our sessions are accredited by organizations such as the AIA, USGBC/GBCI, NCQLP and ASID.
Educational opportunities include multi-day sessions for lighting Reps and day sessions with Lighting Designers, Specifiers, Architects, and Engineers and Contractors. We also offer hour long seminars that can be presented at our lighting education center in Northbrook or in your office anywhere in North America. Session topics include product reviews as well as market specific lighting design, code overviews, LED technology and application, and properties and functions of light. We even can develop a program just for you! A few of our popular sessions are:
- Properties and Functions of Light
An enlightening session demonstrating the amazing impact light has on a space and how to create beautiful and functional light.
- LED Lighting and Code Compliance
An overview of the latest in LED lighting technology, what it really is, and how to evaluate it. In addition we review current Codes and Standards including ASHRAE and LEED.
- LED Lighting Technology and Application
In this popular session, we discuss sustainable lighting, describe the key benefits and capabilities of LED technology, and identify the critical components of LED lighting fixtures including LED Chips, Color, Thermal Management, Optics, and Electrical Management. In addition we review current LED standards and how LED products can be used today.
- Lighting for Human Health, Performance, and Sustainability
In this course we will reveal the connection and impact that light has on human health. We will also discuss the impact light has, both positive and negative, on human performance in the built environment. Finally, we will review the impact light and energy have on our planet. Balancing all three of these key aspects of light is the key to successful, long-term healthy lighting for people and our planet.
